This Repository is a database of actors, activities, initiatives, policies, measures, programmes, and support systems and is a stepping stone for a more comprehensive national mapping of the CCIs in Eastern Africa. The overarching goal is to provide accessible extensive up-to- date information on cultural expressions in the 13 Member States of the Eastern Africa region

The Repository comes at a time of new global collective interest about the strategic role that CCIs can play in the economic growth of emerging countries, with several regional and international institutions identifying CCIs as a priority area.
